BHIS volunteers contribute in many ways. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator for opportunities to help the school and students. To get a head start review the Seattle Public Schools volunteer requirements and checklist.

Fundraising

Fundraising is an important role of the Beacon Hill International School Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA pays for school-related activities which the Seattle School District does not support, such as 4 lessons, 5 Coordinator’s salary.

The Fundraising Committee has created a schedule so that families can plan to participate in the fund raisers that interest them and so they are aware of the everyday purchases that could benefit the school. Our focus as a PTA is on events and programs that promote education, arts and culture, good health, and environmental stewardship, while celebrating the diversity of the community. If you would like to share your ideas and opinions with us, or if you would like to volunteer to assist in any of the fundraising activities, please contact the designated person for each event or the Fundraising Committee Chair Sarah Dublin (sarahamelia@comcast.net).
