Fundraisers

It's Walk-A-Thon Time for Beacon Hill students!

Please support our unique dual-language school. Our goal is to raise $15,000 while celebrating physical activity.

Beacon Hill International School is a very special place:

  • Our school focuses on providing an inclusive, globally-oriented education and offers three language options: Spanish immersion, Mandarin immersion, and English.
  • More than 86% of our students are children of color, and more than half speak English as their second language. More than 2/3 of all students are eligible for free or reduced meals.
  • Many BHIS families come from places outside of the United States, including Vietnam, China, Laos, Mexico, Guatemala, Somalia, and elsewhere.

We are a proud community rich in culture and diversity. Please support our school. Your money goes directly to our students and classrooms.
Any amount helps!

  • $25 pays for 5 much-needed new library books (quality books are in high demand!)
  • $50 pays for school supplies for 1 student for a year
  • $75 sends a 5th grader to 5th Grade Camp at Camp Coleman
  • $100 supports 2 students taking after school STEM enrichment classes all school year
  • $300 helps a teacher purchase needed classroom supplies

Donate through our PayPal link below - you don't need a PayPal account, just a debit or credit card. Or send a check made out to BH PTA to 2025 14th Ave. S. Seattle, WA 98144. BH PTA is a registered 501c-3 and your donation is tax-deductible.
Thank you!

BHIS PTA: Supporting a World of Learners

Your donations help us strengthen Beacon Hill International School – a unique place where cultural diversity, language learning, and family involvement are lifted up. With your help our PTA can fund music and the arts, environmental learning, before and after school programs, and much more. Membership and Volunteering

There are many ways to get involved. You can participate in our PTA, donate funds, and volunteer in the classrooms and at school events. BHIS PTA is always looking for new members who are willing to share their time, skills, and talents to support and enhance our children’s education.

Joining the PTA is an important part of playing an active role in your child’s experience at BHIS. PTA membership helps fund the programs that we support and improves our ability to communicate with the school administration, the teachers and you!

Year Round Fundraising

The following are easy ways that YOU can support BHIS all year round
(Extended family and neighbors may contribute also…)

  • Hilltop Red Apple Receipts: Save your receipts from purchases at our local Red Apple on Beacon Avenue and McClellan, and they will be redeemed for 1% of their total value. Collect your receipts at home and place them in the designated container in the front office. Last year we raised nearly $1000 from this effort!
  • Box Tops for Education: Save the tops of boxes with the bright pink logo, “Box Tops for Education” from cereal, cracker, and other boxed products you buy, and they will be redeemed for $0.10 per box top. Collect your receipts at home and place them in the designated container in the front office.
  • AmazonSmile: Go to smile.amazon.com and enter Beacon Hill PTA 6-15- 42 as your charitable organization. When you shop through smile.amazon.com, Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchases to our school.
  • PCC Scrip Cards: Buy a $25 PCC Scrip card from us (Heather Hart). Use the card like you would a prepaid debit card at any PCC store. Each time you reload the card, PCC donates 5% of the related value to our school.
  • Corporate Matching Gifts: Ask your employer about matching your cash donation to Beacon Hill PTA 6.15.42. Or go to http://www.matchinggifts.com/spu/ and do a search.
  • Community Giving Funds: Employees of the City of Seattle, State of Washington, or King County can designate a set amount to be deducted from their monthly paycheck to go toward Beacon Hill PTA (6.15.42).
  • Office Depot on Airport Way: Use BHIS’s School ID #70107436 every time you make a purchase a percentage of your purchase will be remitted to BHIS. This does not work for on-line orders.
